Sign, sign…everywhere a sign.
I need to respond to the gentleman from St. Paul who recently complained in these pages about my campaign signs being displayed on small garden-tractors around Winona. He asked if this practice is legal.
First, as a candidate running for re-election to the County Board from District 4 (west-central Winona), I am happy to hear that people are noticing my signs. Even folks from St. Paul!
And yes, Winona’s Chief of Police Paul Bostrack tells me that my signs are perfectly legal.
Now that the sign issue is cleared up, I’d invite the letter writer to look at the serious issues in this campaign.
