The Minnesota Marine Art Museum is a family-friendly art museum dedicated to providing meaningful visual art experiences. In October, the MMAM will present three family programs.
Toddler Tuesday will be October 9, from 10:30am – Noon. The program takes place in the Museum’s atrium, galleries, and education room. Participants can create toddler-friendly art projects, play with puppets, puzzles and musical instruments, as well as explore the artworks. All participants are invited to come and go as they please and no reservation is required. Toddlers, ages 1-5 years, are $2 each and, as always, MMAM members are free. Adult caregivers are also admitted free.
On Saturday, October 13, from 1 – 2:30pm, the Minnesota Marine Art Museum will hold a Fall Family Studio. This program is free, uses high quality materials, and is only for families that have family memberships to the MMAM. In this Family Studio session, after experiencing the exhibition The First and Second War for Independence, participants will get the opportunity to create their own engraving print! Please call the Museum at (507) 474-6626 to reserve your spot for this special program.
Lastly, as we approach Halloween, the MMAM will present Halloween Horrors as part of its Family Storytelling program. This program is for families with children 10 and under to come enjoy the Museum’s galleries in a unique way. Children are $2 each and adult caregivers are admitted free. Reservations are not required, but appreciated.
