Following three well-received photography exhibitions, the Minnesota Marine Art Museum (MMAM) continues its 2012 Photographer Series with an exhibition by regional favorite Jim Brandenburg. The exhibition, The Photography of Jim Brandenburg, will be on display from October 4th, 2012 through January 6th, 2013.
This exhibition is a “greatest hits” of this award-winning photographer’s work, the culmination of worldly travels on assignment for National Geographic Society. It contains 40 masterfully composed images of wildlife, water, and the environment from Brandenburg’s assignments: The World of Aldo Leopold, Arctic Wolves on Ellsmere Island, Red Deer, Bamboo in Asia, Seger North Pole Expedition, and The Tallgrass Prairies of North America.
This exhibition is courtesy of the Bell Museum of Natural History, University of Minnesota. It is partially sponsored by the Carl and Verna Schmidt Foundation and Minnesota Public Radio contributed in-kind support as the Media Sponsor.
Also, presented in conjunction with the exhibition, visit the MMAM’s Education Room and vote for your favorite regional photograph in the Friends of the Upper Mississippi River Refuge Photo Contest.
