Awhile back a newspaper in Winona had a long story about the representative for First Congressional District.
We are a republic that votes for someone who represents his constituents and lets him know how we want him to vote. Guess what—he told us how to vote on the marriage amendment.
No one running for office should tell their constituents how to vote.
Walz is 180° out of line in what he is supposed to do.
The actual language of both amendments is straightforward and we in this district know enough to make up our own minds. The paper should have been upset about this.
