Highway 76 is now open to traffic from Houston County Road 4 to Houston County Road 10.
Highway 76 had been closed, and traffic was detoured while crews conducted a bridge replacement project over the south fork of the Root River near Houston.
Flaggers will control traffic for the remainder of the project, which is scheduled to continue through October, weather permitting.
The historic bridge railings will be rebuilt to be safer, while still maintaining their historic property. The project is expected to be complete mid-October, weather permitting.
The Minnesota Department of Transportation urges motorists to always drive with caution, slow down in work zones and never enter a road blocked with barriers or cones.
