At 6:56 p.m. deputies arrested a 13-year-old male at his residence in Dakota after an adult female reported being physically and verbally abused by the boy. According to the report, the female said the boy was pushing and shoving her around the residence. The female said she called law enforcement because she was in fear for her life.
At 8:47 p.m. deputies arrested Leonard Dale Larson, 26, of Minnesota City, for fourth degree driving while intoxicated, test refusal, and open container, after Larson was pulled over for speeding. The deputy detected the odor of alcohol on Larson’s breath and took him into custody. At the law enforcement center, Larson refused to take a preliminary breath test.
Thurs., October 11
At 2:10 p.m. deputies ticketed Vanny Tith, 24, of Rochester, for theft after he drove off from the Sinclair gas station on Service Drive without paying. According to the report, Tith pumped $48 worth of gas in his vehicle and drove westbound on Highway 14. A deputy caught up with Tith near County Road 25 in Lewiston and asked why he didn’t pay for the gas. Tith replied he forgot his debit card at home.

At 2:52 p.m. police arrested Roth William Walters, 33, of Goodview, for violating a harassment restraining order after Walters texted the adult female with the restraining order. According to the report, Walters is allowed to correspond with the female when it comes to matters of their children. Walters told the female he was unable to pick up the children that evening because he said someone broke into his house. The female said Walters then began sending her threatening texts. Goodview police officers then made contact with Walters and arrested him.
At 3:26 p.m. a Winona resident reported missing an iPod Touch from her vehicle that was parked in her driveway in the 400 block of West Seventh Street.
Thurs., October 11
At 9:31 p.m. police responded to a call from Cheater’s Bar and Lounge regarding the theft of pull tab money. A bar employee said a man entered the bar around 5:30 p.m. and said he was a state employee there to audit the pull tab machine. The employee said the male was familiar with the machine and how it worked. A short while later, the male said he needed to get something from his vehicle. The employee said the man wasn’t seen again. An undetermined amount of money was taken.
Friday, October 12
At 12:21 a.m. police ticketed Ashley Elizabeth Drake, 23, of Winona, for possession of a small amount of marijuana after Drake was pulled over for running a red light near Fifth and Main streets. The officer detected the odor of freshly burnt marijuana and asked if Drake had any in the car. Drake said if there was any in the car, it would be in the center console. Drake denied that the drug was hers.

A criminal complaint has been filed against Jerry Lee Moger, 41, of Lewiston, for two charges of second degree criminal sexual conduct involving a minor under the age of 13. According to the complaint, the victim, now 17 years old, said when he was between the ages of 7 and 10 years old, the victim’s parents hired Moger to baby sit. The victim said one incident occurred when Moger was watching a movie with the victim and asked to lay next to him. Moger proceeded to place his hand on the front of the victim’s pants. Moger then grabbed the victim’s hand and placed it inside his pants. The victim said he immediately removed his hand. The victim said a similar incident occurred on an ATV at Moger’s farm house in Lewiston. The victim said Moger babysat for the family from 2002 to 2007. Moger is to appear in court on Dec. 6, 2012, at 11 a.m. Julie L. Germann, Senior Assistant Olmsted County Attorney, will be overseeing the prosecution of Moger.
