Don Doerr Sr., in his letter to the editor, Oct. 7 edition, said that he’s “having a difficult time selecting the best people for political office.” What a surprise! All his “people” he supports are Republicans. Don, when was the last time you supported a Democrat, let alone voted for one?
Allen Quist is a farmer and receives very large sums of farm subsidies, yes - from the U.S. government. Tim Walz was in the National Guard for many years and was a school teacher. If anyone is working for the working person and veterans it would be Tim Walz.
If you live in Wisconsin, you could not vote for Ron Kind. Why? Because he’s a Democrat? You could vote for Tommy Thompson. Why? Because he’s a Republican?
You fail to mention Mitt Romney for president. He belongs to a religion that believed in having more than one wife. Many still believe in this tradition. Was this part of your “prayerful thought?”
You can’t vote for Barack or Michelle. Which Michelle are you not voting for, Michelle Bachman?
You have in the past written many letters about the Democrats spending too much money. How many government programs do you or your children and grandchildren receive or have received in the past? By government programs, I mean farm subsidies, SSI, medical payments, rent subsidies?
I remember years ago you wrote a letter to the editor concerning your blind dog being run over in Gilmore Valley. Did you ever find the Democrat that ran over the dog?
