Winona State University celebrates Homecoming this weekend with the theme of “Blast From the Past.”
We would like to invite all Winona community members and families to be spectators at the annual WSU Homecoming Parade at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 20.
This year’s parade has about 90 entries, including perennial crowd-pleaser the Winona County Calliope.
Lineup begins at 9 a.m. on Broadway between Grand and Huff streets and on Harriet Street between Broadway and Fifth Street.
The parade route runs down Huff Street from Broadway to Mark Street, just before the railroad tracks. The parade should be finished by 11 a.m.
Again, we welcome everyone in the community to join WSU’s Homecoming celebration.
P.S. Chartwells will be collecting food donations for the local food pantry during the homecoming parade. Chartwells will match the donations in food.
We ask every parade-goer to bring a non-perishable food item. Monetary donations will be collected as well. Thank you for your help.
Donna Spaeth, Food Service Director at Winona State University.
