Motorists traveling on Highway 43 over the Mississippi River in Winona will encounter temporary lane closures and delays Friday, Oct. 19, as crews conduct survey work.
The equipment needed to conduct the survey requires a lane closure, and traffic will be reduced to a single lane controlled by flaggers from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.
The information gathered during the survey work will be used for the bridge rehabilitation and new bridge construction.
The Minnesota Department of Transportation urges motorists to always drive with caution, slow down in work zones and never enter a road blocked with barriers or cones.
