Irene A. Pape, age 90, formerly of Winona, passed away on Saturday, October 13, 2012, at Harmony River Living Center, Hutchinson, Minn.
Irene was born on December 29, 1921, at Gilmanton, Wisconsin, to William and Amelia (Hacker) Laehn. She married Allan C. Pape on November 22, 1945, in Arcadia, Wis.
She was employed by Federal Bakery and J. R. Watkins. She was a member of Central Lutheran Church, its Women’s Circle and Bible Study and Young at Heart.
Irene is survived by daughter, Sherry (Denis) Kotlarz of Hutchinson; grandson, Scott (Renee) Kotlarz, Hutchinson; four great-grandchildren, Gage, Peyton Taylor and Nyssa and great-great- granddaughter, Ava.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Allan; five brothers, Melvin, Elmer, Hilbert, Rosvil and Clarence and six sisters, Milda, Meta, Esther, Laurena, Dora and Lavina.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 18, 2012, at 11 a.m. at Central Lutheran Church, with Rev. Beth Krolak officiating. Burial will be in Glencoe Lutheran Cemetery, rural Arcadia.
Visitation will be at the church on Thursday from 9 to 11 a.m.
Casketbearers will be Scott Kotlarz, Adrian Sousa, Duane Pape, Loren Laehn, Donald Laehn and Gene Laehn.
Memorials may be directed to Central Lutheran Church.
