Betty Delores Smith, 89, of Lewiston, died Thursday, October 18, 2012, at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center in La Crosse.
Betty, the older of two children, was born at home in Dover on November 23, 1922, to Otto and Elsie (Schmidt) Shafer. She was raised in the Dover area and graduated from Dover High School.
