Deception (10/24/2012)
From: T.M. Schoewe

We often think about God in human terms but this is just one more of Satan’s deceptions. He gets us to think the Lord thinks and acts like we do. By those standards, God is forgetful, impulsive, and evasive. And boy does He have a temper! It is an anger that moves mountains and tears the limbs off trees.

But just read your Bible. It describes a far different God, One Who is patient and steady in His love and purposes. One Who will never forget or reject one He calls His child.

Listen to what old Isaiah (49:15-16) says, “Can a mother forget the baby at her breast and have no compassion on the child she has borne?” “Though she might forget, I will not forget you!” “See I have engraved you on the palm of my hands.”

So you have a God who says you are precious to Him, a God who has most certainly forgiven your sins and is very interested in your future. He continues to value you. He will never reject you and is always ready to take you back even if you give Him many reasons not to.

If your name is on the palms of His hands, you must be precious, very precious indeed! So what? So do not, I repeat, do not “Forget it!”

This is the message that comes to you from God our Father through His Son, sealed by His Spirit. If you have not received the message, you had better look into it before time takes you into eternity.

In the meantime we must understand that we are not to leave everything to God and think we have no personal responsibility and can just forget it when it comes to dealing with our everyday problems and the affairs of our country. Although we should surely pray and hope our God has His finger on these matters and has a plan for good, we should not stand idly by nor be deceived like we have in these past four years, especially those of us that did not vote. The majority voted for “change” in 2008 and that’s what the country now has in its pocket, some pennies. How’s that for “change?”

We are on the eve of another election. We are a democratic-republic and how our government functions and manages its resources (revenues/tax dollars) will be determined by those whom we the voters elect to be the good stewards of this country and its children’s, children’s children.

This upcoming election could have dire consequences. It will determine the ultimate course of our country. We will either continue sinking into bankruptcy or work to right the ship in recovery. Do not be deceived. Our government has a big problem with money. Too many elected officials are more concerned about their pensions and feathering their nests than balancing our country’s budget. Learn the real math: O + B = Only Bankruptcy. Vote for real change: R + R = Recovery.
