Here are some questions I have about the story of Adam and Eve.
In the book of Genesis chapters 4 and 5, the Bible tells us that Adam and Eve had two sons named Cain and Abel. These were the first four people on earth according to the teachings of the church.
Cain slew Abel and it tells us that Cain talked with God and was afraid the people would kill him because of what he had done.
Where did these people come from?
Adam and Eve had another son named Seth. It is written that Cain and Seth took wives and had children.
Where did these wives come from?
There seems to be three options - primates, incest, or homo sapiens.
According to anthropology there were homo sapiens at that time in history. I donít believe they took primates as wives.
It doesnít say Adam and Eve had daughters, so incest is questionable as well.
According to anthropology that leaves homo sapiens to make up the people of that time.
Could there be a connection between creationism and evolution?
Maybe we should ask Michele Bachmann and Paul Ryan how they see it.
