Recently we observed the sinking of the USS Hornet by Japanese naval forces in 1942. Those were dark days for the United States; we weren’t sure how the war was going to turn out. Many people sacrificed a great deal, including their lives, so that we might continue our system of freedoms including the right to vote.
Please vote! Honor those who have ensured that we have that right here in the U.S.A. I’m not going to be so egotistical that I think you’d vote the way I tell you, but I will urge you to vote.
The low turnout in the last election was embarrassing and disrespectful to those who have made sacrifices over the years to keep that right secure.
