The biggest question you have to ask yourself this election is: Do I make $200,000 a year or more? Second, if you do: Do I not care about my fellow Americans? The Republican party has vowed not to run its campaign according to fact checkers. Let us not forget the tape of Romney at a fundraiser of millionaire donors, dismissing half of all Americans as “Freeloaders.” In Romney’s words, “believe they are victims, who believe they are entitled to healthcare, food” and other essentials. The 47% Romney is referring are people on Social Security, veterans, soldiers overseas, and American workers that just don’t make enough, but pay other taxes like gasoline and payroll. Romney is only concerned about Romney and the rest of the 1% he represents. Bush’s tax cuts for the wealthy expire in 2013 if Romney doesn’t win this election. Romney is on the side of the elite only.
With respect to abortion, Romney’s stance is as clear as a frosted-over window; from supporting Roe vs Wade in 1994 (a woman’s right to choose), to disavowing it in 2011, to backing away from any legislative changes in 2012. Romney also endorsed and still endorses Richard Mourdock even after he recently said that rape and incest pregnancies are a “gift” that God intended.
I leave you with words of Franklin D. Roosevelt, “Let me warn you” speech of 1936. “Let me warn you and let me warn the nation against [those] that say, “Of course we believe these things. We believe in social security. We believe in work for the unemployed. We believe in saving homes. Cross our hearts and hope to die. We believe in all these things. We just do not like the way the present administration is doing them. Just turn them over to us. We will do all of them. We will do more of them and most important of all, the doing of them will not cost anybody anything.”
