Mahutga, Marion G. (11/07/2012)
Arcadia/Wisconsin Rapids, Wis.

Marion G. Mahutga, 90, of Arcadia, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 3, 2012, at Wisconsin Rapids Care Center in Wisconsin Rapids. She was born on January 28, 1922, in Dover, Minn., to Phillip and Genevieve (Kulas) Baier. Marion married Everett Mahutga on October 30, 1939, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Arcadia. She worked for many years at the Winona Hospital. She was a member of Holy Family Parish, the former St. Anne’s Rosary Society, a long time volunteer at Franciscan Skemp Nursing Home as a member of the St. Joseph’s Hospital Auxiliary. She enjoyed cooking, baking, and spending time with her family. Marion was a devoted mother and grandmother.

She is survived by her 12 children: Barbara (La Vern) Foss of Wisconsin Rapids, Carol (Gordon) Abts of Fountain City, Jeanette (Ronald) Docken of Galesville, Patricia Duell of Trempealeau, Diane (James) Daffinson of Trempealeau, Joseph (Jean) Mahutga of Galesville, Donald (Cathy) Mahutga of Arcadia, Ronald (Theresa) Mahutga of Arcadia, Bernard (Joyce) Mahutga of Independence, Judith (Jerry) Richards of Wisconsin Rapids, Rose (Steve) Chambers of Arcadia, Rita (Lonnie) Earney of Cochrane; 30 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren, six great-great-grandchildren, sister-in-law, Vivian (Robert) Lisowski of Alma, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Everett, on May 11, 1999, parents, a brother, Ralph Baier, and a stepsister, Ardith Trescartes. Marion was a devoted mother and grandmother.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, November 8, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Family Parish, with Father Raj officiating.

Friends may call on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services at the church. Pallbearers will be grandsons. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, rural Arcadia.

Wozney-Killian Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
