Bowhunter injured in fall from tree (11/07/2012)

On Saturday, November 3, at 7:01 p.m., the Buffalo County Sheriff’s Department was notified of a bowhunter who had fallen from a tree while hunting on private land near the intersection of STH 37 and CTH N. The Alma Fire Department, Alma Ambulance, Dover First Responders, Buffalo County Sheriff’s Department and Mayo 2 responded to the location. The hunter, identified as Larry Rud, fell approximately 12 feet when he attempted to descend from his tree stand. Rud was airlifted to Mayo of Eau Claire with multiple non-life threatening injuries.
