About 20 Goodview firefighters responded to an early morning fire inside a Wincraft building Monday that left the property with a considerable amount of smoke and water damage.
Goodview Police Chief Kent Russell said the fire department arrived at the building, located at 44th Avenue and Service Drive in Goodview, just after 4:30 a.m. on the report of an electrical fire. According to Russell, a press had caught fire.
“Obviously the press equipment that started on fire was a total loss,” he said. “There is no cost estimate of the damage, but there is a lot of smoke damage and water damage from the the sprinklers.”
Chief Russell said there were a few Wincraft employees in the building when the fire occurred but no one was injured.
Firefighters were able to control and extinguish the flames and cleared the scene just after 6:30 a.m.
