At 9:50 a.m. a Winona resident reported damage to his vehicle which was parked in the Hy-Vee parking lot. The man said his passenger side mirror had been broken off on the previous Sunday sometime between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. There is no estimated cost of the damage.
At 2:16 p.m. police ticketed Tara Nicole Stevens, 25, of Winona, for no proof of insurance, failure to change her driver’s license after 60 days and expired registration following a two-vehicle accident that sent three people to the hospital. According to the report, Stevens was northbound on Chestnut Street when she collided with Brian Allen Brabbit, 24, of Lewiston, who was westbound on Seventh Street. Stevens and her passenger, a 6-year-old boy, were transported to Winona Health via area ambulance. A passenger in Brabbit’s vehicle, a 9-year-old boy, was also transported via ambulance to Winona Health. All injuries were non-life-threatening.
At 6:38 p.m. police arrested and referred Tamika Tiara Lyda, 23, of Winona, for second degree assault and domestic assault causing fear after she allegedly pointed a knife at a 22-year-old female.
At 9:30 p.m. police ticketed Jenny Rebecca Sultze, 40, of Winona, for possession of small amount of marijuana after a Winona Health x-ray technician found a green, leafy substance inside Sultze’s bra. According to the report, Sultze was allegedly involved in a physical altercation in the Winona Health parking lot. She was taken in for examination and was found to be in possession of marijuana.
