Pedestrian hit near WSU (12/02/2012)
The Winona Police Department has released details about another accident near the Winona State University campus that involved a vehicle and a pedestrian.

According to Deputy Police Chief Tom Williams, officers were called to the intersection of Eleventh and Johnson streets just before 10:30 p.m. on Sunday, November 25, on the report of an accident.

The report said Kara Nicole Eggers, 23, of St. Croix, Minn., was westbound on Eleventh Street when she hit Meagan Ann Marie Rydholm, 20, of Winona, who was crossing the street.

Williams said Rydholm was not using a crosswalk at the time of the incident and was transported to Winona Health via ambulance with non-life-threatening injuries.

No citations were issued.
