The Winona Hims would like to thank all of the people, businesses and organizations that helped us raise funds at our Fall Gospel Concert this year.
Through the generosity of our countless donors and audiences, we were able to raise almost $24,000. Our chosen recipients, ORC and the SEMCAC nutrition program, will each get $11,850.24. Since the Hims’ inception, we have raised nearly $300,000 to help Winona Area nonprofits.
Special thank-yous to more than we can list here. Our directors Bruce Odell, Dr. Scott Birdsall, and Dave Henderson guided and led us though 23 songs we were proud to perform. The Pleasant Valley Church provided the perfect venue, and our house manager, Gary Roddel, and his team made the show a great experience.
We hope our message of hope and love was well received by our great audiences. We will be back next year with an all new show. Please join us.
Please join us Sunday Dec. 9 at Wesley United Methodist Church in Winona for a very special Christmas concert. Concert times are 1:30 p.m. and 4 p.m. with refreshments between shows.
We are honored to have a very special guest this year. The Decorah Chorale from Decorah, Iowa, will be joining the Hims to usher in the Christmas season. Over 90 voices will be singing a selection of great Christmas music. A freewill offering will be taken, with proceeds benefitting Project Fine of the Winona Area. Hope to see you there.
