Keeping our roads safe (12/05/2012)
From: Andrea Gierok

On behalf of the Winona County Toward Zero Deaths Coalition

There’s nothing more important than keeping your family and friends safe. As a Toward Zero Deaths Safe Roads Coalition, we work closely in our community to ensure everyone makes safe driving decisions to avoid driving impaired.

If you’re planning to party this holiday season, please plan in advance how you and your friends will get home safely.

Drinking and driving has serious and complicated consequences — possible crashes with injury or death, as well as lawyers, court, fees, and jail time. Planning for a safe and sober ride is simple. Use a sober, designated driver or public transportation, or spend the night at the location of the celebration.

Make smart decisions and keep our roads safe.
