At 10:22 p.m. police arrested Jason Paul Garfield, 32, of Winona, for violation of probation after he was found drinking at Wellington’s Pub. According to the report, a female complainant called the law enforcement center reporting that Garfield was texting her saying he was at Wellington’s Pub. As part of his probation, Garfield is to abstain from using alcohol. Garfield had a blood alcohol content of .047 percent.
Saturday, Dec. 8
At 3:16 a.m. a Winona woman reported missing a camera and cell phone from her residence in the 400 block of West Eighth Street. The woman said she had a party the previous evening and after guests left, the items were gone. Estimated cost of the stolen property is $300.
At 11:20 a.m. the owner of a laundromat in the 970 block of East Fifth Street reported a possible break-in. According to the report, the business doors automatically lock at 10 p.m. each night. The owner said when he returned to the business just before 11 a.m. Saturday morning, he found a door on the east side of the building forced open and another door inside the facility also forced open. The owner did not report that anything was missing.
Sunday, December 9
At 12:09 a.m. police arrested Melvin Earl Kimp, 22, of Winona, for violation of probation and fleeing on foot after police in the downtown area recognized Kimp from a felony warrant notification. When officers approached Kimp, he fled. Officers found Kimp and took him into custody near Third and Johnson streets. As part of his probation, Kimp is to abstain from using alcohol; he had a blood alcohol content of .08 percent.
At 1:25 a.m. police ticketed Lindsay Vitalia Brinkman, 19, of Winona, for underage drinking and driving and for not wearing a seat belt, after an officer pulled Brinkman over near Huff and Mark streets for not wearing a seat belt. The officer detected the odor of alcohol and administered a preliminary breath test. Brinkman had a blood alcohol content of .01 percent.
Tuesday, Dec. 11
At 12:59 a.m. police arrested Brody David Ellsworth Pappenfuss, 22, of Winona, for fourth degree driving while intoxicated after officers pulled Pappenfuss over near Broadway and Market streets for driving without headlights. The officer detected the odor of alcohol and administered a preliminary breath test. Pappenfuss had a blood alcohol content of .16 percent.
