The Winona County Sheriff’s Department has released information regarding the upcoming release of a level three sex offender and is asking any citizens with questions to attend a community notification meeting.
According to Sheriff Deputy Ron Ganrude, 31-year-old Jason Michael Cieminski will move into rural Minnesota City on Thursday, Dec. 27, 2012. Cieminski is a Level Three Predatory Offender who has a history of engaging in sexual contact with adult females that includes fondling, window peeping, and breaking into victims’ homes.
A community notification meeting is scheduled to answer any questions citizens in the area may have. Representatives from the Department of Corrections and Winona County Sheriff’s Office will be in attendance to provide useful information on public safety.
Cieminski is not wanted by police at this time and has served his sentence as imposed by the court. Ganrude said this notification is not to increase fear in the community but, rather, to inform the public.
The meeting will be Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2012, at 6 p.m. in Conference Room A - B at the County Office Building at 202 West Third Street.
