Riverway Learning Community, a tuition free Minnesota Charter School located at 1733 Service Drive in Winona, will host its first ever Community Meal on Saturday, December 15th, 2012 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm (the kitchen will close at 12:00 pm). This will be a “Hometown Diner Brunch” complete with Pancakes, Potatoes, Eggs, Baked Goods, and a Beverage. Each dish will be lovingly prepared in Riverway’s kitchen by the Head Food Service Manager, Lindsay Krage, who focuses on locally produced and organic foodstuffs when possible.
The meal is open to school personnel, Riverway families, and the general public. In order to accommodate everyone, we are offering a sliding scale payment with a minimum of $5 a plate and a maximum of $10 a plate – attendees are expected to pay what they can. Half plates for children will be available for $3. IMPORTANTLY, RESERVATIONS MUST BE MADE BY 3:00 PM, FRIDAY, DECEMBER 14TH. We will not be able to accommodate individuals that do not have reservations.
Riverway was established in 2000 and continually strives to create a familial atmosphere while providing individualized education to over 100 students. All Riverway students learn in multi-aged settings though an integrated curriculum that strives to connect learning to life. The Montessori Method is used with students age three through grade six while a mixture of Direct Instruction and Project-Based education is used for 7th-12th graders.
Staff, families, and the general public are cordially invited to Riverway Learning Community’s first ever Community Meal. Reservations and questions may be directed to Riverway at 507-474-6120 or email@example.com
