Oevering, Opal V. (12/19/2012)
Opal V. Oevering, 98, of Stockton, Minn., died Saturday, December 15, 2012, surrounded by her family at Lake Winona Manor, Winona, Minn.

She was a member of Immanuel United Methodist Church, Winona. Opal was a member and attended Immanuel United Methodist Ladies Aid for the past 34 years. She was formerly employed at Ziebellís Produce and Wincraft.

She is survived by seven children: Lawrence (Doris) Oevering, Winona; Audrey (Jerry) Palmer, Winona; Kenny (Tweety) Oevering, Stockton; Barb (Dick) Rasmussen, Lewiston; Judie (Don) Doerr, Winona; Steve (Sue) Oevering, Stockton; and Tom (Dianne) Oevering, Stockton; 48 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and a daughter-in-law, Judie Oevering, Stock+≠ton.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two sons: Wayne and Jack; four grandchildren; four sisters: Grace Wos, Eva Noceto, Bessie Milnarsek and Bernadine McElmury; and three brothers: William, Archie and Jess.

Services to remember Opal will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 21, 2012, at Wesley United Methodist Church, Winona, with Rev. Kathy Schuler officiating. Interment will be at Oakland Cemetery, Stockton, Minn.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, December 20, at Fawcett-Junker Funeral Home, Winona, and Friday at the church beginning at 10:00 a.m.
