Winona Police Department seeking publicís help (12/19/2012)
The Winona Police Department is seeking the help of the public in order to identify the suspect involved in a recent theft at Walmart, in which three laptop computers were stolen.

Video surveillance from Wednesday, December 5, showed an unidentified male walking into the Winona Walmart shortly after 6:30 p.m. and taking one laptop from the electronics department. The male returned just after 7 p.m. and stole two more laptops. No alarms were set off during the incident.

The surveillance video showed the male concealing the electronics under his coat and leaving the premises in a silver Chevrolet extended cab truck. The truck appears to have a black Tonneau case covering the truck bed.

The male appears to be in his late 20s or early 30s, white, with short brown hair, and a stocky build. Estimated cost of the stolen merchandise is $2,394.

Winona Deputy Police Chief Tom Williams said the department is checking with crime action networks and probation files to see if the suspect matches any descriptions in the system.

Anyone with information regarding this case should contact the Winona Police Department.
