St. Charles woman facing charges after drug bust (12/30/2012)
More than 100 packages of synthetic marijuana and $11,000 in cash were found in the home of a St. Charles woman Wednesday after area law enforcement assisted the Olmsted County probation department in searching the home.

According to Winona County Sheriff’s Department Investigator Rob Averbeck, deputies arrived at the home, belonging to Machelle Frisbie, 38, of St. Charles, shortly before 1 p.m. Wednesday to conduct a search. Frisbie was suspected of violating probation.

Inside the Whitewater Avenue home were 113 packages containing synthetic cannabinoids, a blue container containing white, powdery residue, other drug paraphernalia, and $11,085 in cash.

Upon investigation, deputies field-tested the white powdery substance, which tested positive for cocaine. However, deputies believed the substance to be alpha-PVP, or plant food. The controlled substance was sent to the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension crime lab for further testing.

Frisbie was transported to the Olmsted County jail where she is being held. Frisbie is facing charges of fifth degree intent to sell and fifth degree possession of a controlled substance.
