Third Wednesday event Jan. 16 at Jon Hassler Theater (01/06/2013)

This month, the Rural America Writers’ Center presents a local specialty Dan Butterfass, as featured writer for the Third Wednesdays event 7:00 p.m., January 16 at the Jon Hassler Theater in Plainview. Butterfass has written poems for publication in literary journals such as Great River Review, Cave Wall, Interpoezia, Café Review, and in RAWC’s The Green Blade. He will be reading from unpublished poetry, a recently submitted 3-volume body of work, Aerie, written in the tradition of Whitman’s Leaves of Grass.
The forty minute reading is followed by a brief question and answer session, a short intermission for refreshments and concludes with a session of “open mic”, open to local writers to share their writings. The event is free and open to the public.
