Juried High School Art Show at Lanesboro Arts Center Jan. 12 – Feb. 2, 2013: Featuring Art by 9-12th grade Students from Four Regional Schools. Opening Reception Saturday, Jan. 12, 6-8 p.m.
Artwork by 9th-12th grade students from throughout the region will be showcased in the annual Juried High School Art Show at the Lanesboro Arts Center in Lanesboro, Minnesota. Free to the public, the exhibit will open with a reception on Saturday, January 12, 2013 from 6-8 p.m., a good chance to meet students and teachers from participating schools. The exhibit will run through February 2, with gallery hours Tuesday-Saturday 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Work in a variety of media will grace the gallery walls by students from Chatfield Chosen Valley (Kelly Puent, art teacher); Fillmore-Central (Carrie Mathison, art teacher); Lanesboro (Krista Flaig, art teacher); and Rushford-Peterson (Cher Krueger, art teacher). Projects include stained glass lamps, coil construction pottery, watercolor Super Hero and abstract self-portraits, marker drawings, acrylic hard-edge paintings, abstract expressionist paintings, textured plaster paintings, painted shoes, mirror etchings, altered books and toothpick sculptures.
Handicapped accessible, the gallery is located at 103 Parkway Ave N. in Lanesboro, Minnesota.
