Bronk, Georgann (01/09/2013)

Georgann Bronk, age 92, of La Crosse, Wis., and formerly of Winona, Minn., passed away on Saturday, January 5, 2013, at Mayo Health System – Franciscan Healthcare in La Crosse.

Georgann was born on August 10, 1920, in Durand, Wis., to John and Katherine (Tarrant) Rofuth. She married Joseph J. Bronk on October 10, 1940, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Winona.

Georgann enjoyed being in the Moose, her favorite TV shows, and reading the daily newspaper. Friends and family will always remember the quick wit she maintained to the end.

Georgann is lovingly survived by her children: Joseph R. (Gloria) Bronk, Winona; Peggy Schulz, Eagan, Minn.; Theresa Bronk (Patty Stanek), Brooklyn Park, Minn.; Joanne Bronk (Mila Rund), Mesquite, Nev.; Philip (Charlotte) Bronk, Winona; and Debra K. (Ron) Anderson, La Crosse, Wis.; 10 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; as well as other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and her brother, Paul Rofuth.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 12:30 p.m. PM on Wednesday, January 9, 2013, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Winona. The Reverend James Berning will officiate.

Georgann will be laid to rest in St. Mary’s Cemetery.

Visitation will be held in the Commons of St. Mary’s Catholic Church on Wednesday, January 9, 2013, from 11:00 a.m. until 12:15 p.m.
