The Winona Steamboat Days Festival Committee is looking for Button Design submissions from individual middle school students (grades 5th through 8th). First Place Winner will receive a plaque with their winning design, a ride in the Steamboat Days Grande Parade, personalized button to wear during steamboat days, t-shirt with design on it, drinking glasses, and carnival armbands for the family (maximum 5). Second Place will receive 4 carnival armbands; and Third Place will receive 2 carnival armbands.
66th Annual Steamboat Days Event Button Criteria
Button design must be round.
Maximum 3 colors not including background (which will be white)
Date of the celebration must be on the button (June 19th –23th, 2013)
“Winona’s Steamboat Days” and “66th Annual” and “1948- 2013” must be on the button
Button must contain at least one of the following: steamboat, carnival/Ferris wheel, fireworks, paddlewheel, boat racing, Interstate Bridge, downtown, lake park and the levee. (The cannonball guy will not be an event at this year Steamboat Days).
* Designs must be submitted on an 8.5 x 11 sheet of white paper with the design in color

• On the back of the template we ask that the student include: name(first and last), school, grade, parent’s name, and home phone number.
• Open to 5th thru 8th grade Winona-area students only
• All entries become property of the Winona Steamboat Days Festival Association
