Ice Carving at FRFF (01/20/2013)
An ice sculpture will be featured outside the east side of WSU's SLC building for the Frozen River Film Festival's kick-off on Wednesday, January 23. The sculpture is a promotion for the Rockwell Kent Centennial Celebration which begins on Wednesday, February 6.
On Tuesday, January 22, St. Paul ice sculptor John Njoes will begin carving a whale—based on Rockwell Kent's images of Moby Dick—outside the SLC building at WSU.
Another ice carving featuring Kent's imagery will be on display at the Minnesota Marine Art Museum during the Rockwell Kent Centennial Celebration.
