At 8:23 a.m. deputies responded to a one-vehicle accident at Gilmore Valley Road and Mohan Road. According to the report, Jayne Wobig, 57, of Winona was northbound on Gilmore Valley Road when she lost control going around an icy corner. She skidded into the other lane and struck a guard rail. Wobig was transported to Winona Health with non-life-threatening injuries.
At 3:37 p.m. a Winona resident reported a break-in at her home on Old Homer Road. According to the report, the woman had been out of town for two weeks and came home to find her front door had been damaged. At the time of the report, she did not know what items were missing. There are no suspects.

Tuesday, January 15
At 3:37 p.m. officers ticketed Kyle Benjamin Allers, 21, of Rushford, for theft by shoplifting. According to the report, Allers allegedly stole a range finder and a deck of playing cards from Fleet Farm. Estimated cost of the stolen merchandise is $120.98.
Thurs., January 17
At 2:31 a.m. officers arrested and referred Christopher Warren Conlon, 23, of Winona, for fifth degree possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and not wearing a seat belt, Shane Robert Merchlewitz, 24, of Winona, for failure to appear in court, and Katrina Marie Stoneburg, 29, of Winona, for intent to escape motor vehicle tax, no proof of insurance, driving with an expired license, and driving with expired registration. According to the report, Stoneburg was pulled over near Eighth and Zumbro for expired registration. When the officer made contact, he recognized Conlon, and noticed that he was not wearing a seat belt. The officer then discovered both passengers, Conlon and Merchlewitz, had warrants for their arrest. Officers subsequently took all three into custody and searched the vehicle. Officers found a glass pipe which field-tested positive for methamphetamine.
At 8:56 a.m. police arrested arrested Edward Maurice Price IV, 47, of Winona, for second degree assault causing harm after he allegedly stabbed a 22-year-old man with a box cutter in the 150 block of East Second Street. The victim was taken to Winona Health with non-life-threatening injuries.
At 5:47 p.m. officers responded to an accident report at Oak Street and Kramer Drive. According to the report, Deanna Maria Forhan, 48, of Winona, was driving east on Kramer Drive when she turned left onto Oak Street and hit Malory Layne Hall, 25, of Winona, who was crossing Oak Street. Hall was transported via ambulance to Winona Health with non-life-threatening injuries.
District court
Stephen Thomas Conlin has been convicted of fifth degree possession of marijuana and third degree sale of five kilograms or more of marijuana. On October 22, 2010, officers searched Conlin’s house and found seven marijuana plants, large amounts of marijuana, and marijuana candies in his basement. Conlon was sentenced to 90 days in county jail, 20 years of probation, and a $3,000 fine. A 36-month prison sentence was stayed on the condition of Conlon following his probation restrictions.
