Mother Nature speaks to me
Like a haunting melody
Her voice is in the wind that blows
She dresses up in rainbows
When human beings spoil her dreams
She shakes us up; she lets off steam
Volcano, earthquake, fire and flood
Her unleashed power spills our blood
It wouldn’t have to be this way
If o’er our lives her laws held sway
If we followed her rules, page by page
We could live once more in a Golden Age
But thirst for power, greed and lust
Hold sway o’er man ’til they turn to dust
When will human beings learn -
If you play with fire, fire will burn
