Kronebusch, Jacqueline ‘Jean’ (01/23/2013)
Jacqueline “Jean” Kronebusch, age 80, Minnesota City, passed away on Friday, January 18, 2013, at St. Anne Extended Healthcare.

Jean was born on May 1, 1932, in Oaks, North Dakota. She married her loving and devoted husband, Robert J. Kronebusch, on October 21, 1954, in Minneiska, Minn. Over their 58 years of marriage, they enjoyed dancing, many card games of 500, and cheering on the Minnesota Twins. Jean was a member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church, Minnesota City, where she was an active volunteer.

She had a passion for cooking. She loved to bake buns and pies and make homemade soup. Jean had a unique talent of playing the accordion. She taught herself to play by ear. She also volunteered at the Minnesota City Ice Rink.

Jean is survived by her husband, Robert; son, Timothy (Susan) Kronebusch, La Crosse, Wis.; daughter, Tamara (Joseph) Fahnhorst, Inver Grove Heights, Minn.; grandchildren, Amanda (Stefan) Benter; Holden and Hayden Fahnhorst; great- grandchildren, Hannah and Callen; and sisters, Gloria (Gary) Luedtke, Fridley, Minn., and Arlene “Kay” (Art) Ellestad, Winona. Jean was preceded in death by her parents and infant brother.

Jean’s family would like to express their gratitude to the wonderful staff at St. Anne Extended Healthcare who laughed at her jokes while they cared and comforted her over the past year.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, January 26, 2013, at 11 a.m. at St. Paul’s Catholic Church, Minnesota City, Con-Celebrated by Father Peter Brandenhoff and Father William Kulas. Burial will be in St. Paul’s Catholic Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at Martin-Myhre Funeral Home on Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. with a Christian Wake Service at 7 p.m. Visitation will also be held on Saturday after 10 a.m. at the church.

Casketbearers will be Joseph Fahnhorst, Stefan Benter, Tracy Bork, Ryan Albrecht, Rod Luedtke and Tom Kronebusch.

Memorials are being arranged.
