Ruby M. Klein, 95, formerly of Fountain City, Wis., passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 24, 2013, at Marinuka Manor in Galesville, Wis.
She was born on January 8, 1918, to John Leland Bond and Lydia (Joos) Bond in Fountain City, Wis. Ruby graduated from Fountain City High School in 1935. She married Millar Klein on March 18, 1939. Together they farmed for many years in rural Fountain City.
She was a lifelong member of St. Johnís UCC church in Fountain City. For many years she volunteered as hostess for the Cochrane-Fountain City Senior Citizens Nutrition Site. She enjoyed playing the organ and piano, doing word puzzles, crocheting and playing cards. She especially enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Ruby is survived by three children: Claude (Shirley) Klein of Fountain City, Judy (George) Brockman of Stoddard and Joan (David) Foris of Colfax. She is also survived by eight grandchildren: Tanya (Mike) Schamaun, Chris (Michele) Klein, and Chad Klein; Brenda (Brian Schuchard) Brockman, Paul Brockman, and Brian (Heather) Brockman; Vince Foris and Andy (Elizabeth) Foris; and nine great-grandchildren: Brady and Austin Klein; Logan and Lindsay Schuchard, Gabriella Brockman, Ava Brockman; Jenna Foris, Landyn and Daltyn Foris. She is survived by a brother-in-law, Given Klein, and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Millar; her parents; and five siblings: Lloyd Bond, Evelyn Carlson, Eileen Strang, Stanley Bond and Gladys Bond.
A memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, February 2, at St. Johnís UCC Church in Fountain City. The Rev. Greg Ferris will officiate. Burial will be held at a later date at the Bohrisí Valley Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 10:30 a.m. until the time of services Saturday at the church.
The family would like to give special thanks for the concern and care given Ruby by the staff and residents of Eden House and Marinuka Manor the past eighteen months.
