Jack Irving Wessin, 67, of Winona, died Monday, January 28, 2013, at his home.
Jack (Butch) was born June 17, 1945, in Winona to Arthur and Clara (Godtland) Wessin. He and his twin sister Jill were born at home, and this was the same home where he died. He attended local schools and was employed at Winona Health for 47 years in the food service department. He is a lifelong area resident and a member of Central Lutheran Church, Winona.
He is survived by his brother, Robert (Florene) Wessin, Winona; three sisters: Clarene Phillips, Spring Hill, Fla., Kay (Robert) Lockwood, Quincy, Ill., and Kathy (Gary) Frahm, LaCrosse, Wis., and 35 nieces and nephews living in Florida, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, and California.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers: Richard and Kenneth; his twin sister, Jill Rydman and sister, Phyllis Peterson and her twin infant sons; brother-in-law, Robert Phillips; and nephew, Rocky Lockwood.
Services to remember Jack will be 10:30 a.m., Saturday, February 2, 2013, at Central Lutheran Church, Winona, Minn., with Rev. Beth Krolak officiating. Interment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery, Winona, Minn. Visitation will be at the church on Saturday beginning at 9:30 a.m.
