The Semcac Board of Directors is looking for one person to represent the interests of the consumer from Winona County.
The board includes three groups from the community: 1/3 represent the public sector; 1/3 represent the consumer; and 1/3 represent community organizations. Semcac serves the counties of Dodge, Fillmore, Freeborn, Houston, Mower, Steele and Winona.
Board meetings are held at 6:30 p.m. on the second Monday of every month at the Community Center in St. Charles. The individuals elected will work with the other board members to determine goals and set policies for the private, non-profit corporation. Board representatives are reimbursed for mileage and day care for their participation on the board. The person elected to fill this vacancy will complete a four-year or a two-year term, both of which begin on April 1, 2013.
