At 5:01 a.m. deputies arrested a 17-year-old male from Goodview for fourth-degree driving while intoxicated and underage consumption of alcohol, after the juvenile lost control and rolled his car into the ditch on Highway 61 north of Winona. A urine test indicated he had a blood alcohol content of .11 percent.

Thursday, Jan. 31

At 3:45 p.m. a burglary was reported by a 58-year-old female resident of Green Terrace Mobile Home Park, south of Lamoille, after she discovered more than $1,370 worth of electronics were stolen from her home. The woman came home that afternoon to discover her window was broken and she was missing a 40-inch TV, a 32-inch TV and DVD player, two digital cameras, and a glass dish with $15 to $20 worth of loose change. According to the report, the estimate for replacing the window is $200.

Saturday, February 2

At 2:00 a.m. deputies recovered a stolen vehicle after it was found in the median of Highway 61 near Clarks Lane. The vehicle had been reported missing two days earlier by a 46-year-old Minnesota City man. He had left the car at someone’s house to have work done on it. Officers found two sets of tracks in the snow leading away from the vehicle. However, there are no suspects in the case.

Friday, February 1

At 1:14 a.m. officers arrested Jannel Lynn Schloejel, 32, of Winona, for fourth-degree driving while intoxicated, after she was stopped at Second and Huff streets for a broken headlight and failed a field sobriety test. A preliminary breath test indicated she had a blood alcohol content of .11 percent.

Monday, February 4

At 2:18 a.m. officers arrested Jacob Hatfield Lesser, 31, of Winona, for fleeing police officers in a motor vehicle, driving after suspension, driving with no proof of insurance, failure to stop at a stop sign, and fleeing police officers on foot, after he tried to keep from being pulled over for a traffic stop. According to the report, an officer at Mankato Avenue and Eighth Street saw Lesser fail to stop at a stop sign. The officer turned on his lights and attempted to pull Lesser over, but Lesser allegedly drove away. The officer was unable to catch up with Lesser because of street conditions, but followed him. The officer saw Lesser turn north on Zumbro Street and pull into a driveway. According to the report, the officer saw Lesser get out and enter a residence. The officer followed Lesser into the residence and arrested him. Lesser allegedly denied noticing the officer.

At 1:22 a.m. officers arrested Nicholas Todd Ketzler, 23, of Winona, for third-degree driving while intoxicated, after he was stopped at Sixth and Wilson streets for having a white light emitting from a broken tail light on his vehicle. According to the report, Ketzler had bloodshot, watery eyes and a preliminary breath test indicated he had a blood alcohol content of .23 percent.
