It is going to be a hot night for a cool cause as the Foundation for Winona Area Public Schools hosts the Fire & Ice Gala on Saturday, March 2, 2013 from 6-10 pm at the Visions Event Center. Lead sponsors Merchants Bank and Winona National Bank encourage you to purchase your tickets, while they are available, for this evening of great food, fun, and friends celebrating the longstanding relationship between the Winona community and its public schools.
Tickets are $50 each and cover the costs of a welcome drink, butler passed appetizers, a filet mignon dinner (vegetarian option avaialble) and dessert. Proceeds from the evening’s events will benefit the Foundation for Winona Area Public Schools General Fund which supports enhancements for students, staff, and classrooms that are otherwise not afforded through the district’s budget. These enhancements have included dollars to support bussing costs and/or entrance fees for student field trips, grants for classroom projects, the Dare to Dream Innovation Grant, and much more.
Attendees can enjoy the Gallery 861 silent auction featuring the many talents of Winona Area Public Schools staff and students; and Winonafare--a silent auction of generous offerings from Winona’s own businesses and establishments. A quick moving “fund-a-need” live auction will also be a part of the evening’s festivities.
