Neeck, Hazel R. (02/10/2013)
Hazel R. Neeck, age 96, of Winona, Minn., passed away on Wednesday, February 6, 2013, at Lake Winona Manor.

Hazel was born on June 16, 1916, in Winona, Minn., to John and Elizabeth (Miller) Engler. She was united in marriage with Kenneth M. Neeck, on Ocotber 12, 1940, in Winona; he preceded her in death on August 1, 1984.

She was a member of the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart. Hazel was employed as a cook for the Streaters, and also did cleaning at Dr. Caspersonís office. Hazel will be remembered for her love of dancing and her enjoyment of music.

Hazel is survived by her grandchildren: Rick (Yolanda) Neeck, Lampasas, Texas, Lea Ann Garrett, Round Rock, Texas, great-grandchildren: Laurie Garrett, Round Rock, Texas; Tiffany Le Maistre, Tyler, Texas, sisters, Pearl Nogosek and Violet Broberg, both of Winona, Minn., many nieces and nephews, as well as other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Kenneth; son, Kenneth J. Neeck; and brothers and sisters: Harold Engler; Bernard Engler; John Engler; Lloyd Engler; Helen Anderson; Ruth Gaulke; and Florence Verdick.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, February 12, 2013, at the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart. The Reverend Jason Kern will officiate.

Hazel will be laid to rest in St. Maryís Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart, on Tuesday, February 12, 2013, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the Mass.

Pallbearers will be Robert Nogosek; Roger Philipps; Rick Philipps; Don Nelson; Jim Nogosek; and Jerry Engler.

Memorials may be directed to Lake Winona Manor.
