You probably know that Thursday, February 14 is Valentine’s Day. But did you know that it’s also the fifteenth anniversary of V-Day, the global movement to end violence against women and girls? “One Billion Rising” began as a call to action based on the staggering statistic that 1 in 3 women worldwide will be beaten or raped during her lifetime.
Winona State University is marking this important movement with our 11th annual production of the “Vagina Monologues,” which will be performed Thursday, Friday and Saturday, February 14th, 15th and 16th at 7:00 pm. There will also be a Saturday matinee at 1:30 pm. All performances will be in Somsen Hall Auditorium on the WSU campus and tickets will be available at the door ($10 for non-students).
Come on out and support the movement for ending violence against women.
