Ready Set School
The 19th Annual Chili Cook- off had a great turnout for the event and raised $5,818.55 in sales and donations for Ready Set School.
The winners were: Public Tasters’ Choice Award - Blooming Grounds spicy chili; Mild Category - Charlie’s D&D, Ground Round, Signatures; Spicy Category - HyVee, Winona Health Catering, North End Pub and Grill.
We were fortunate to have a first-rate kitchen and great volunteers. Nineteen businesses donated chili. Eight individuals donated their time and taste buds as judges, and several organizations and many individuals volunteered their time to help the Ready Set School program.
We will use the money raised at the event to help Winona County students start the 2013-2014 school year with the supplies they need to help them succeed.
