Nearly two years ago, I reported what I believed to be hazardous trees along the lake park bike trail. Our city parks department under Keith Nelson has since given me a lesson in city politics. Do nothing and the problem goes away. Just another citizen complaint. Never mind that if a city worker complained to OSHA it would be a hazardous work site. Never mind the standards are in deference to every arboriculture standard in current use. Who runs the city? Apparently Keith does when he works for an administration that snubs all common sense tree practice. But thanks for showing me who’s in charge.
