Dorothy B. Magnus Black Box Theatre
The Winona State University Department of Theatre and Dance presents “reasons to be pretty,” written by Neil LaBute, at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, March 7, through Saturday, March 9, in the Dorothy B. Magnus Black Box Theatre of the Performing Arts Center.
“reasons to be pretty” revolves around a love story about the impossibility of love. The show introduces us to Greg, who adores his girlfriend Steph. Unfortunately, after a few comments about her physical imperfections, overheard by Carly, everything starts going downhill from there. Along with struggling with his own morality in deciding to reveal a co-worker’s infidelity or to keep his mouth shut for the sake of friendship, Greg must determine what’s more important in life: how people view him, or who he actually is as a person.
This performance contains explicit language and adult situations.
Tickets are $5 for the public and free for students with an I.D. They can be purchased at www.winona.edu/thad or by calling the Box Office at 507-457-5235.
