On Friday, March 1, 2013, at 12:45 p.m. representatives of four state organizations will review the progress of a recently completed Winona County Needs Assessment for the primary prevention of sexual violence in the county. This will take place at the Winona County Government Center.
State partners providing guidance and oversight featured at the Friday meeting include Greg Herzog – Minnesota Dept. of Public Safety grants manager; Lindsay Gullingsrud – Minnesota Coalition Against Sexual Assault communications coordinator and project consultant; Chuck Derry – project consultant and coordinator of the Minnesota Men’s Action Network: Alliance to Prevent Sexual & Domestic Violence; and Susan Lange - evaluation consultant from the Humphrey Institute at the University of Minn.
The community-wide needs assessment was the first step in developing prevention strategies. The next will be creating a work plan from the assessment - which will begin at the Project Workgroup monthly meeting on Friday.
Members of the Winona County Champion Community Project workgroup will be in attendance. The Winona County Government Center is located at: 177 Main Street, Winona, Minn.
