Take a stand for life. From February 13 - March 24, the Winona community is one of 267 cities in the nation and internationaaly with Canada, Australia, England, Spain, Ireland, Uganda, plus recently Poland and Russia, joining the list of countries for 40 days of prayer and fasting united together to end abortion. Since 2007, when the campaigns began, 28 abortion facilities have closed, 76 workers have quit their jobs, and over 6,741 babies’ lives have been saved. (That we know of!)
40 Days for Life is an intensive prolife effort designed to raise awareness, save lives, and bring healing through:
• 40 days of prayer and fasting.
• 40 days of peaceful vigil.
• 40 days of community outreach.
We are praying that, with God’s help, this effort will mark the beginning of the end of abortion in our community--and throughout America. We also pray it will provide healing for those who have suffered from an abortion or have played a role in providing abortion services. You can help make a life-saving impact by joining the Winona 40 Days For Life 40 Day Prayer Vigil Monday – Friday from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at: SEMCAC, 62 East Third Street, Winona, Minn.
We stand outside at the center block of the mini-mall on Third Street downtown Winona. The vigil is peaceful; all participants sign a “Statement of Peace” with a pledge that they will conduct themselves in a Christ-like manner. All people are welcome!
