Wednesday, Feb.27

At 10:39 p.m. deputies responded to a single-car accident at the intersection of County Road 15 and Pleasant Ridge Road. A 20-year-old female driver from Winona lost control on the icy roadway and struck the guard rail on the side of County Road 15. The woman suffered a facial laceration and totaled her vehicle. She was taken by private vehicle to Community Memorial Hospital.

Saturday, February 23

At 12:37 p.m. officers ticketed Jack David Taylor, 27, of Houston, for theft after he allegedly stole two luggage bags valued at $140 total from a storage closet at the Super 8 Motel.

Monday, February 25

At 10:50 a.m. officers ticketed Tyler Lee Burbach, 18, of Winona, for possession of a dangerous weapon on school property after his probation officer found a three and one-quarter inch switch blade knife on Burbachís person at the Winona Area Learning Center.

Tuesday, February 26

At 4:15 p.m. officers ticketed Leann Marie Seeling, 59, of Winona, for theft after she allegedly took $271 worth of merchandise from K-Mart.

Thursday, February 28

At 5:31 a.m. officers received complaints of two vehicles whose tires were slashed overnight on the 250 block of East Seventh Street. There are no suspects. Eight similar tire slashing occurred in Winona and Goodview at the end of January.

At 10:47 a.m. officers received a complaint from a 44-year-old Winona man who said his billfold was stolen from his unlocked vehicle overnight. There were three charges on the manís debit card which had been in the billfold for a total of about $60.

Friday, March 1

At 2:13 a.m. officers arrested Shane Michael Mueller, 23, of Winona, for fourth-degree driving while intoxicated, third-degree test refusal, failure to signal a turn, and driving without a seatbelt. Officers observed Mueller driving without a seatbelt and stopped him. Mueller had bloodshot and watery eyes, according to the report. A preliminary breath test indicated his blood alcohol content was .13. Mueller refused to submit to blood or urine test.
