What is happening in our country? We are 17 trillion and over on our deficit.
We are headed for the fiscal cliff, and yet we send 60 million dollars to Syria. Go figure.
We always step in and help every country out of a jam. Did you see any big lineup when New Jersey got hit by Sandy? Even our own government didn’t help. I guess FEMA is the new “F” word in Jersey.
We could save a lot of money by helping ourselves first.
The news said ex-president Clinton made 90 million on speaking engagements since he got out of office. Maybe he could pay for his own Secret Service protection, along with the other retired presidents. That could save a bundle. Let’s do some cutting salaries in our own government. There are plenty of families that can hardly afford to drive to work with gas prices being so high. We have more untapped oil in Utah and a few other states. It’s all listed government land and we can’t drill on it.
We can send a man to the moon and back but we can’t get a car to get 50 miles to the gallon.
It’s a sad case when a pro athlete gets a contract for four years at 100 million a year, and the President of the United States gets $400,000 a year.
How many of our vets still have no jobs and are homeless? Let’s think of our country and our people first.
These are just a few of my thoughts, so if they aren’t right - don’t write.
